11:39 Audio is there but glitchy.
11:40 SILENT AGAIN.

11:59 LT session 6 starts.
12:05 LT session 7 starts.

12:15 LT session 9 starts. The speaker is shaky. Recommended to zoom out instead of tracking to reduce the motion sickness.

12:25 LT session 11 starts.
12:28 Stream pauses. The audio during stream pause works well.
12:32 Video stream stops.

12:57 The camera is a bit defocused but looks okay in side-by-side preview.
13:01 LT session 15 starts.
13:06 LT session 16 starts.
13:08 The camera is out of focus: visible problem when in full-frame.
13:11 LT session 17 starts.
13:17 LT session 18 starts.
13:22 LT session 19 starts.
13:24 Weird sound appeared. Possibly mic check.
13:26 LT session 20 starts... but the speaker is not available. So the herald gives the talk instead.
13:27 Herald summarizes and ends the talk.
13:28 Stream pauses.

--> The stream is silent in the first half of the LT. Audio backup is required to recover it.
--> Audience should not be captured but in the beginning the audience is shown.
--> In the beginning of the stream the slide screen is not used, but the camera captures the screen instead. Probably due to technical issue. (And probably the reason audience is shown in the stream.)

--> On a side note, the winkekatze is facing towards the speaker, not the camera.

-----------

[13:47] talk starts
[13:47] speakers at the left frame border, very uncentered
[13:53] speaker sometimes very off-center in fullscreen
[13:56] speaker in fullscreen view, but could be zoomed in further
[13:58] long talk about one slide, could use p-i-p to show speaker additionally, especially because speaker is gesturing very much
[14:03] much headroom.
[14:03] lack of audio for several seconds while slide in fullscreen
[14:07] speaker runs out of frame, also too much headroom again
[14:09] image is a bit too dark
[14:11] stoffer's headset is not very loud, and there is a lot of echo
[14:13] speaker is very dark, probably standing behind the lighting zone on the stage?
[14:15] speaker on the border of the frame when camera is focussing on the herald

-> camera needs to decrease headroom more so the speaker fills the whole picture
-> mix can use picture-in-picture or cropped preview more often to see the speaker with the slides

------------------

[14:31] talk starts, but herald starts with bad audio and much headroom
[14:31] while herald talks, the lower part of the white slides are visible, resulting in very much contrast in the picture. could be zoomed in on the herald further.
[14:33] speaker on the right, with much empty space on the left
[14:34] slides flicker/go dark, probably video connector is bad
[14:38] when speaker is walking a lot, the side-cropped preview is probably not the best choice, as the picture is a bit shaky/nervous and camera does not follow the speaker very well
[14:38] side-crop preview could be zoomed in further, so face is visible, or use -picture-in-picture instead, the slides should allow the space for it
[14:42] speaker on black background looks better with speaker with white slides in the background. but speaker is very tall, so this can probably not be circumvent when speaker is walking around...
[14:53] slides flicker again
[15:00] herald is going on again with audio problems
[15:01] herald could be zoomed in further in total view
[15:01] end of talk

[16:29:15] Stream comes on on herald
[16:29:30] Change to speaker, then fast to overview, and then slides (too fast)
[16:30:10] Change back to speaker full, good composition,
                 enough space for gestures
[16:32:30] change to full slides
[16:33:15] change back to full screen speaker, maybe a little fast
[16:34:10] full slides then back to speaker, as slide only one sentence, good
[16:35:00] again full slids with longer quote and enough time to read, then back
                 good!
[16:37:10] Back to slides, as speaker reads quote, maybe side by side better?
[16:37:00] Good and fast reaction to video shown -> fullscreen it
[16:43:00] Video ends

[17:23:30] Herald hands chopped off, then good / fast change to speaker

[18:31] Speaker Starts
[19:24] Q and A
[19:31] herold gives thanks to the speakers
[19:32] herold gives informations
[19:32] end of the stream

[18:33] change to picture in picture is a good desicion for this kind of slides
[18:33] camera : picture would look better if the 34c3 letters would not be in half
[18:39] camera: letters no mor in the picture - looks much better
good cut to the other speaker
[18.54] audio: short phase  where you could here the first speaker with non relevant talking
[18:55] camera/mixing: if you can't get the moving speaker into your frame by following please choose a wider few
[18:57] camera: wider picture also neccesarry because of his gestures with his arms - Moving hands are too often out of the frame
[18:58] audio: cracking? Übersteuerung? (got better)
[19:05] audio: again some cracking
[19:07] mixing: change to new speaker was ok - would have been better to show the slides a little longer, so you would'nt have seen the back of the second speaker
[19:10] camera: would be nice if his hands wouldn't be cut of, when he points on something on the slides
[19:14] good decision to show the slides in fullscreen, so reading the texts of the comics is easier
[19:20] camera/mixer: wasn't it possible to have a picture ready, that shows all standby speakers, so you could see, if one of them begins to talk again? (just an idea)
[19:20] audio: speaker a little loud in camparison to the one before - got a little better within time
[19:23]camera:  speaker  out of frame
[19:25] camera: not so pretty to show herold and speakers.. side by side - because only one of them is speaking
[19:25] camera: good picture of all three speakers
[19:28] mixer: short apperance of slides? why?
[19:30] mixer: good desicion to show herold fullscreen
[19:30] camera: to sad, you couldn't keep the moving herold in the picture
[19:32] audio: shutdown of speaker mics could have been earlier
[19:32] mixer: setting stream offline earlier would have been better, even if the camera did a good job with following him
in general:
- camera: if you can't keep the speaker in the frame choose a wider few
- camera: also if the speaker moves too much - a wieder few makes it easier to follow him with the camera
- mixer: good mixing of side by side and fullsreen slides
- audio: good reaction to different loudness of speakers
- audio: the male speakers had some cracks in the audio - can't say why

[19:46] camera: to much headspace, good following
[19:47] mixer: not sure if the slide was too long on fullscreen - switch to side by side would have been nice
[19:50] good desicion to switch to slides and speaker side by side
[19:53] mixer: side by side (sbs) would hve been better, letters cut of on slides
[19:55] mixer: good reaction to cut of slides
[19:56] mixer: change to fullscreen fast - good
[19:57] camera: speaker out of the picture, when switching on him
[19:59] camera: to much headspace, cuttet letters, following the speaker really unsmoth!
[20:01] camera: following the hands when he puts tem in the air looks creepy
[20:04] mixer: here - picture in picture good
[20:05] mixer: toale war gut! why did you switch to a more narrow one? didn't look good
[20:08] mixer: side by side with empty slide - good correction with goiing to fullscreen speaker
[20.09] camera: following the speaker should be more smooth
[20:13] camera: hands are sometimes out, or in the picture while moving - wider few please!
[20:15] mixer: change to wrong camera for sbs - but good reaction!
[20:16] camera: really good picture! good composition
[20:17] camera: not enough room for hand-movements
 [20:19] camera/mixer: good picture!
[20:26] mixer: good to change to other camera with wider few! (change back was not necessary)
 [20:28] mixer: same as before
[20:28] audio: herold mic to late
[20:29] mixer: change on speaker too late
[20:29] camera: good picture! (little to much headroom)
[20:31] camera: good reaction to speaker movements
[20:31] mixer: good use of third cam to change picture of speaker camera!
[20:38] mixer: little to slow on slides with Sources
[20:44] mixer: nice you showed the slides!
 [20:45] camera: cut of feet!
[20:47] mixer good cut of the stream!

in general:
- mixer: good mix of different kinds of picture in picture etc. Sometimes long phases without visible speaker
- mixer: side by side better than picture in picture! (espacially with pretty photos)
- camera: good following the speed of the movements of the speaker, but the camera movement wasn't smooth enough

[Simulating the future of the global agro-food system]
[labara, pivot]

20:59 Stream starts with herold
(in general) Slides are 4:3, but instead of filling the area on the left in side-by-side mode, the mixer software adds dark bars on the left and right. This wastes a lot of screen space.
21:00 Speaker starts, missing audio in the first few seconds
21:10 Picture-in-picture is not so ideal here (but maybe the other options are worse)
21:11 Slides (even though fullscreen) are not readable in this window size
21:15 slides too small
21:21 switch to fullscreen cam was good
21:22 speaker is too small in picture-in-picture; camera should zoom in
21:24 no information on screen. please show speaker
21:25 total was good
21:27 a bit too much head space
21:28 question too quiet, not understandable. maybe sound could be amplified
21:31 signal angel audio is surprisingly good
The stream shows a total with the speaker standing at the right side. This isn't
21:34 The stream ends abruptly mid-sensence – this is very irritating. The wrong pause screen is selected (it says "no recording"). It would be much better to show the herald (or, if people are standing in front of every camera, the slides, or even the pause screen) until the end of the off-moderation.

ca. 21:37 The pause screen is changed to the correct one ("Pause!").

This talk was a bit hard to mix because the speaker had complex slides which were not visible well in side-by-side mode and which often had to be shown, so fullscreen slides or picture-in-picture were the only options.
some slides contained very short information (one half sentence) and the speaker was more interesting but still the speaker was not visible

(… some intermediate moderation …)

------
[Closing the loop]
[labara, pivot]

21:43 translation moderations
21:45 starting moderation
21:46 mixing starts good
21:47 overlaid 34C3 logo looks weird with 4:3 slides
21:48 too much headspace in side-by-side preview
21:49 camera is tilted too low. gesticulating hands are cropped on top
21:50 still too much headspace in side-by-side preview
21:50 good use of fullscreen slides
21:50 hand cut on left side
21:52 picture-in-picture is okay-ish; side-by-side preview or fullscreen speaker would be better
21:54 when speaker says the letter "p" or "b", it produces a puffing sound
21:55 the letter "s" creates a hiss
21:59 picture-in-picture where the slides have big text and the speaker is not moving; side-by-side preview would be better here
22:01 same as 21:49
22:02 speaker seems to be gesticulating to explain but is not visible
22:05 slide (even though fullscreen) are not readable in this resolution
22:06 picture-in-picture is good because speaker gesticulates at his slide
22:08 graphics much too small, text not readable
22:11 hands again not visible
22:12 sound interruption
22:14 smooth mixing with the Q&A
22:18 off moderation
22:19 there is unidentifiable stuff lying on the on-stage table
22:19 speaker microphone suddenly turns off while the herald talks, which makes the background sound vanish and sounds a bit unexpected
22:19 end is a bit abrupt, but still acceptable
22:19 34C3 logo covers moving text for short time

The mixing was good. The image composition was not so good at the beginning, but it was better at the end.

slides were full but speaker gesticulated a lot which made it hard to follow without seeing speakers hands
microphone might be too close to speakers mouth which produced disturbing sounds in consonants

BTW: The keyboard of the mixing laptop is comfortable to use. :)

-------

22:31 start of talk
22:32 PiP
22:32 Preview supersource looks good, good hold of camera
22.34 finally switched to fullscreen gif
22:35 hard to read slide better fullscreen
22:40  Maybe faster switch to fullscreen of slide
22:41 again better to have as fullscreen
22:42 I would not prefer PiP here rather Preview/Supersource as the speaker does not move that much and the slides are rather full
22:47 The 34C3 is not fully shown in preview, could be more centered. falsely cropped
22:49 herald starting q&a
22:51 close up for answering looks good
22:55 side-by.side confusion
22:58 total and finish

Conclusion: For this talk, I think a Preview/Super-Source view would be the best most of the time as the speaker was rather stable behind the pult. This was done for the most part. Additionally the slides have been quite full, so showing them was always mandatory. Switching to fullscreen slides earlier would improve the experience. Side-by-Side was used some times but this was not good. At one point the preview was not centered.

23:15 herald starts
23:17 talk starts, Preview mode
23:22 - audio: rumbling sounds
23:22 - exposure little bit too bright
23:24 - fine fonts on the slides are hard to read (on the small notebook screen)
23:27 - cam: framing could be a bit more narrow for pic in pic
23:33 - audio: noisy audio from the speaker (rumbling noise)
23:35 - cam: Would nice, when speaker would be placed a little bit more
             to the right
23:39 - audio: rumbling sound
23:43 - audio: rumbling sound
23:45 - cam: Framing of the speaker could be a little bit more to the right
23:48 - mix: An overview picture when applausing appears, would be nice
23:48 - Herald appears and opens Q&A
23:48 - audio: rumbling sound
23:49 - cam: a little bit less heas room wouldbe nice imho
23:49 - herald appears in picture in picture frame, around 1 s
23:50 - mix: a cut to the screen a few seconds in advance would have been great
23:55 - cam: More noseroom for the speaker would be great.
Maybe the red thing on the lower right corner would be out of the framing
23:56 - mix: Don't like the herold and the speaker in one frame,
because it never appeared before and seems more like an errer
23:58 - cam: Herald could have more nose room
23:58 - cam: speaker ist cut in half in side by side
00:00 - cam: nice framed without red thing in the background, maybe just a
little bit more narrow and maybe a little bit less head room (minor thing)
00:03 - mix: side by side frame on the right showed just empty background
00:03 - audio: hard closing of microphones in the hall changed the audio sound
00:04 - talk ends
00:04 - pause slides and sound

Conclusion:
Audio was rumbling from time to time. Speaker was sometimes a bit out of the frame. Exposure seems not be equal on both cameras. When not the full frame of the camera ist used, because it's used in side to side, the cam should readjust its framing to ensure, the speaker is in.
