Carried over from the Meeting on September 17th:

- One first idea: invite the people who made a proposal to join the
- meeting on October 1st so that we can have a first overview of our
- possibilities and officially launch the candidates search!
- Zurich? ale[M] (comment by a.l.e: not really... it's more a backup proposal)
- Palaiseau, near Paris? Mc (from Inkscape)

- lgm.org is currently down; lasse has contacted tuxfamily

# LGM Meeting: 03.9.2025 18:00 CEST
Chair: (chair needed, askmeaboutloom will be traveling)
Protocol: Stefan
## Agenda (add your points here)
- Announce the venue for 2026 (Nurenberg)
## Announce the venue for 2026 (Nurenberg)
- Nuremberg will be the venue for LGM 2026
## LGM 2027
- We have one proposition for Berlin
- The next two meetings could be spent to speak about 2027 proposals
- Atlanta (USA) was discussed – Canada would probably be a better option
- Brazil (São Paulo) maybe in 2028?
## Online infra
- Ale got in touch with Ben:
- everything should be fine for us. Only possible issue: the repository need to be on the KDE infrastructure for being deployed automatically to the web infrastructure: this might be a stepping stone for some local organizer who know only about Github (if they know anything about git).
- asked about having access to some web space and repositories to test the workflow (without switching the DNS for now!)
- Stefan finished the work for static copy 2007
# LGM Meeting: 20.8.2025 18:00 CEST
Chair: askmeaboutloom
Protocol: ale
- 2026
- Nürenberg II is on track as a backup solution.
-
- Migration of the Website to the KDE infrastructure:
- Signalwerk started going through the the static sites and check that they are fine
- Ale got in touch with the contact @ KDE: no reply yet. Will send a reminder next week.
# LGM Meeting: 6.8.2025
Chair: askmeaboutloom
## 2026 News
- Reminder: Next meeting/August 20th is the soft deadline for the 2026 location decision
- Lasse: There is a group in Nuremberg who would do it (they had a meeting the week before which was nice and creative and they have some other ideas cooking)
- M43e: No news from Berlin, the contact person has not responded. Probably getting to close to the deadline, so Nuremberg is more realistic.
## Online Infra
- signalwerk is currently travelling and will continue work from next week on and will report at the next meeting
- ale plans to get in touch with KDE for the webspace before the end of next weekend.
## Drawpile happy news!
# LGM Meeting 23.7.2025
Agenda:
- Anything else? Put it here now :)
## 2026 news from Lasse/Nuremberg
- No fixed location or date
- Would be doing it!
- Plan is AdBK > Backup location > Backup-Backup location (same venue as 2025)
## AMRO 2026 news (Simon)
- AMRO 2026 (Linz) is now tentatively scheduled for May 13-16th, we should avoid collision of dates
## 2026 news from Berlin (M43e)
- M43e has been on it, but no news/luck yet
## Online infrastructure (ale)
- DNS has been moved
- We should now think of:
* making all previous site static (for the ones that are not static yet)
* get a web space from KDE
* create repositories and hooks that publish the files to KDE
* switch the DNS entries
- signalwerk offers to help, they have static copies of all old lgm-pages with logs of missing/dead links
- ale will make a summary of repositories we already have on github and create a ticket in github so all info can converge there
- ale will get in touch with Ben to check about static web space and automated deployment options
- Lasse: As for KDE we should find out what the workflows are, e.g. to open a new repository
# LGM Meeting 9.7.2025
## 2026
- Lasse had a local group meeting in Nuremberg, goal is to do it first Tuesday each month.
- Exploring AdBK (art school) as a potential venue for 2026 and a potential backup, KBZ again as a (pricier) backup backup. Date-wise, April is a good candidate.
- M43e has support for space in Berlin at hand, but their contact is currently busy. Maybe more next meeting.
- No news with regards to Paris.
## Online Infrastructure (Ale)
- DNS entry is being moved to KDE.
- Previous years' LGM pages will be staticified.
- Dynamic pages (Wiki, WordPress) will need a solution thought up.
## 2025 (Lasse)
- Sponsorship/cost ratio still looks good, sponsors have yet to pay their invoices (bureaucracy).
## Meeting Meta
- Lasse will put a reminder in his calendar about announcing this here meeting on fedi including timezone(s).
## Next meeting
Chair for next meeting will be askmeaboutloom
# LGM Meeting 25.6.2025
## 2026
- M43e is actively looking for potential free venues in Berlin (for 100-300 attendees), will post when they hear more.
- Ale thinks there is a light chance for "near Paris" (but rather 2027), but hasn't heard from them
- If again Nuremberg, Lasse would try to get AdBK (art school) as venue (much cheaper), however he's not actively pursuing this at the moment
- August 20th now set as soft deadline for a 2026 location decision
## Online Infrastructure
- Intent to move the domain while it's not yet critical or a delicate time
- KDE would be ok take charge of the domain name
- Open question with KDE: "Would you still handle registration of the domain?" (Lasse is in contact)
- Not clear if KDE e.V. already agreed/would agree to cover domain fee
- Ale will contact Louis to get the domain name (as soon as further hand-over is clarified)
- As soon as Lasse gets answer from KDE things can proceed here
## 2025 (Lasse)
- Almost all invoices received and requests for reimbursement seem to be complete too
- Total cost and sponsored amount should match pretty well
## Meeting chair rotation
- The two following meetings will be chaired in rotation by demib0y and askmeaboutloom
# LGM Meeting 11.6.2025
## Agenda
- updates from people who expressed an interest in potentially hosting 2026 (ginger)
- Notes on Linz as a future location (Simon Repp)
- Full resolution image LGM2025 (tiar)

- Deletion of -local Mailing List (Simon Repp)
- Keep -local list, but inform members about its current unused state (a.l.e)
## Organizational structure LGM 2026
- We should not have overlapping dates for LGM and AMRO in 2026 (happened in the past)
- Simon checked with [PIXELvienna](https://pixelvienna.com/) for a possible collaboration for LGM in 2026 - not likely, however he would like to organize a "State of Libre Graphics (on Tour)" talk at this year's PIXELvienna (2025)
- Maybe 2027 Palaiseau, near Paris – proposed by Mc (inkscape)
- Berlin – mentioned by 43e
- Zurich – mentioned by ale
- Nurnberg – currently on ice – Lasse would need more support next time
## Legal entity
- Germany/Austria/Switzerland/France are potential candidates to found a legal entity without too much hassle
- as far i can tell, france is the promising place.a strong group in one place.several other long time participant across the country. (a.l.e.)
## ToDo
- Create static page of current (2025) page as archive (?)
- Separate meeting for static page
- Date for infrastructure meeting
- Further explorer founding a new legal entity (or use an existing entity as an umbrella, e.g. an entity with similar values or one specific for money handling)
